In response to this question, the Industrial Innovation Lab was
born, a cultural laboratory dedicated to the creation of a
sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem, respectful of the
environment and people.
The beating heart of this laboratory is its mission: to guide the
evolution of Italian companies towards agile, innovative and
sustainable organizational models.
Through a combination of experimental projects, technological
innovation and the development of new leadership models, the
Industrial Innovation Lab aims to provide a new vision in the
panorama of Italian small and medium-sized enterprises. The main
focus of the lab is on the implementation of practical and
tangible solutions. It is not just about abstract ideas or
theories, but about concrete actions aimed at bringing about real
change in the Italian industrial fabric.
From the research and development of new technologies to the
redefinition of organizational processes, each initiative of the
lab is driven by the goal of creating a tangible impact on
businesses and society as a whole.

F.lli Giacomello is excited to announce the beginning of a new
technological journey with the integration of 3D printing into its
production processes. This step forward represents a significant
evolution in our ability to innovate and customize products.
Traditionally, our printed products have always been made by
external Italian suppliers, located near our company. This
approach has allowed us to maintain direct and constant contact
for the study, development and relationship with suppliers, a
fundamental aspect that will never change in our production.
However, we felt the need to be able to develop prototypes
internally and in real time. 3D printing offers us this
possibility, as well as allowing us to produce items that, due to
their shape or the low number of pieces, would have been
uneconomical to produce with traditional printing methods. With 3D
printing, we can avoid wasting time and resources, improving our
efficiency and sustainability.
We started this journey by purchasing our first 3D printer a few
months ago. Through experimentation, we understood the main
potential of this technology for the environment and production.
This opened up a world of possibilities, improvements and customer
services, allowing us to produce even very small series with
shapes and geometries that would otherwise be impossible to
obtain.
This step forward will allow us to offer an even more advanced
service to our many customers in the future. We will be able to
create what we had to decline in the past due to a lack of large
numbers, necessary for classic molding.
To date, we have 2 3D printers and a third is on the way. We have
already started to include production parts made with this
technology in our catalog and we will continue on this path, which
will bring us much stimulation and satisfaction.
In the current context, characterized by the urgent need to adopt
sustainable practices to combat climate change, companies are
called upon to play a crucial role in promoting a green economy
and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Among the various
technologies available, solar panels emerge as a versatile and
effective solution to reduce the environmental impact of business
operations. And they are one of the tools that F.lli Giacomello
has used to advance its path towards a company that adopts
concrete solutions for greater environmental sustainability.
One of the most significant aspects of solar panels is their
ability to generate electricity without producing harmful
emissions. By using solar energy as a primary source of power,
companies can drastically reduce their dependence on fossil fuels,
consequently reducing emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other

interruptions in supply. With a reliable and sustainable internal
energy source, companies can reduce the risks associated with the
volatility of energy markets and ensure greater operational
stability in the long term.

F.lli Giacomello is proud and happy to be part of the many companies of the UNICEF FRIENDLY ENTERPRISE program, which support UNICEF in the great undertaking of helping children around the world to have a life worthy of the name, guaranteeing them the means to survive and grow. These are children who live in countries affected by war or natural disasters, who live on the outskirts of degraded cities or in isolated villages.
UNICEF says of this program:
“In terms of number, turnover and employment of workforce, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) represent the engine of the entire national production system, the beating heart of the economy in Italy. Their impact is essential for the economic development and social stability of our country. In addition, they occupy a prominent place in Italian cultural and social life.

Every year, the small and medium-sized enterprises that join the program help give children what they rightfully deserve, what should be guaranteed for all children: food, education, attention to their health. All children have the right to be able to live in good health and have access to the best healthcare available, of which vaccinations are a fundamental pillar. In the world, every year, every year, vaccinations save up to 5 million children affected by preventable and curable diseases.
In 2023, UNICEF administered measles vaccines to 132.9 million children.
Children's eyes should be full of joy. Unfortunately, the eyes of these children have already seen the horror of war, the pain of loss, fear.
Collaborating with UNICEF means strengthening the capacity of this very important organization to act on the field and our company is proud to be a piece of this great undertaking.
